Class Description: With the Mountain Lodge, learn to make Four-at-a-time Flying Geese when they aren't true flying geese (the width is twice the height).  Learn to sew curved seams to construct the moon.  Get sewing, pressing and pinning tips; and perfect all of the steps while completing the top row.

Supplies/Fabric Requirements:
Sewing Machine and coordinating thread

Basic Sewing Kit

Rotary cutter, mat and rulers

Personal Ironing surface and iron if desired

Fabric Requirements:

Background - 3 yds.

4 Greens - Fat Quarters

6 Browns - Fat Quarters

Moon - FQ or 1/4 yd.

Binding - 2/3 yd.

Backing - (44"" wide) - 3 1/2 yds.

(In my blue and gold batiks version, I used 6 blues and 4 gold/tans instead of the 4 greens and 6 browns called for in the pattern.)

Instructor bio:

Marianne learned to sew from her mother at a young age and loved sewing clothes.  As a teenager and during college she learned to hand quilt with her mom and grandma.  Quilting classes and events were her favorite get-aways while she was raising her family.  She has been quilting for 30 years and enjoys taking classes and learning new techniques.  She loves finding fun and more efficient ways to make beautiful quilts.  She is always looking for new patterns and ideas and loves sharing them in her classes.  Marianne is from South Jordan, Utah and loves every part of the quilt-making process.
