Instructor bio:

My quilting journey began over twenty-five years ago, after I sold my flower shop and thought I would retire. (I can’t seem to retire because my love of working with my hands and creating beautiful things is my passion in life.)

Over the years I have worked in fabric stores, made samples and taught classes. Eight years ago, I decided to try working with wool. I bought a pattern, wool, supplies and began a new venture.  I was instantly fascinated with wool applique and the many fabulous colors and textures of it.  There weren’t many sources for purchasing wool in St George, Utah, and I wanted more choices, so I decided to try dying my own wool.  What an experience! It is so amazing what can come out of that dye pot!  Every batch is exciting to see when lifted out of the water. Glorious colors, and various shades are still thrilling to see after hundreds of batches of wool.

I love to share my love of wool applique with other people. After learning the basic stitches and general technique of stitching on wool, your imagination can take off. The project is yours, and what you feel like doing to create it is completely up to you. Every day is a new experience in the world of wool, threads and your imagination.
