Class Description: Learn the art of crafting a stunning and functional jelly roll rug in this fun and engaging class! Perfect for all skill levels, this class will guide you through the process of transforming a simple jelly roll into a beautiful rug that adds a pop of color and charm to any space. You’ll master techniques such as sewing with batting, creating the rope-like structure, and shaping your rug into an eye-catching oval or circle. Whether you’re looking to brighten up your home or make a unique gift, you’ll leave with the skills and confidence to sew your own jelly roll rug.  This project can be made in just one day and is a great stash-buster!

Project size: 27 x 43 (per 1 jelly roll)

When: Wednesday, June 11 - 2:00 to 5:00 pm

Pattern/Kit Fee: n/a

Supplies/Fabric Requirements:
Jelly roll (OR 40-42 2-1/2" WOF strips of fabric)
Jelly batting strips, which can be purchased in a roll (OR batting scraps cut into 2-1/2" strips)

Additional information/comments: If using fabric and not a jelly roll, cut fabric into 2-1/2" strips. If using batting or batting scraps, cut into 2-1/2" strips.  Lengths are unimportant and do not have to be all the same.

Instructor bio:

Although I have been sewing since my mother taught me when I was a child, I have only been a serious quilter for about 10 years. I love attending retreats and learning alongside fellow quilters. I am a Utah native, and I teach high school when I'm not sewing.
