Instructor bio:
I have been sewing most of my life. Starting at a very young age I was making doll blankets and by the age of 12 making all my own clothes for school. I have always loved to play with fabrics and be creative. I developed a love of quilting at age 15 when I made my first quilt, and I haven’t slowed down since.
I started designing quilt patterns 16 years ago. My passion for quilting and designing motivated me to launch Ribbon Candy Quilt Company in 2010. I have designed over 250 patterns, authored 4 books and have been published in several magazines, multiple times.
I am known for my Seasonal Skinnies fusible web applique patterns. I have taught classes at various retreats and quilt shops and 2 different cruises. I love everything about quilting, although binding is not my favorite.
I was born and raised in central California, but now live in Utah with my husband and 4 boys. I have a daughter and son-in-law both proudly servicing as majors in The United States Air Force and United States Space force. I am a proud grandma (Gigi) of an energetic 2-year-old grandson and have a baby girl on the way in January.
When not in my quilting studio, you can find me spending time with my family, cooking, baking, reading, hiking, playing games or shopping for more fabric.
