Class Description: Make a cute, one-of-kind embroidered rope bowl which you can use to organize your sewing room or in gift giving. Create a bowl, or a trivet and choose between one of two designs on the Bernina sewing machines to embellish it. Add some embellishment with optional thread wrapping. Warning- this is addicting. Once you get started you may never want to stop.
Dave’s Bernina will furnish embroidery machines along with all feet, hoops and machine needles needed.

When: Thursday, June 12 - 6:00 to 9:00 pm

Skill level: All

Pattern/Kit Fee: $18 for rope, stabilizer, and thread

Supplies/Fabric Requirements:
Receive 20% discount at Dave’s Bernina
Cotton clothesline 1/4” or 7/32”,
50 wt Aurifil thread
2311 Isacord thread for bowl assembly and 2130 for embroidery design,
Marking tool,
Straight pins or wonder clips,
Stabilizer-Ultra Clean and Tear Plus 12”x12”,
Optional: yarn to wrap the cord
BSK (basic sewing kit)

Kim McCloskey teaches seeing, quilting and embroidery at Dave’s Bernina in Provo. She is an award-winning quilter who loves reading to her grandkids, watching movies with her sweetheart, travel, and listening to podcasts while she sews.
