Class Description: This beautiful quilt looks difficult but we will simplify it with improved cutting and piecing techniques. We will square up pieces for more precise matching. You will receive handouts and experience making HSTs 2 and 8-at-a-time and Flying Geese 4-at-a-time instead of only one. Learn to make these pattern conversions.

Supplies/Fabric Requirements:
Sewing Machine with coordinating thread
Basic Sewing Kit
Rotary cutter, mat and rulers
Personal pressing pad and iron if desired
Fabric Requirements:
Block Fabrics: (8-11) 1/8 - 1 yd. (13-15) 1/4 - 2 yds.
Background Fabrics: 2 1/4 yds. 6 yds.
Binding Fabric: 1/2 yd. 1 yd.
Backing Fabric: 3 1/2 yds. 8 1/2 yds.

Instructor bio:
Marianne learned to sew from her mother at a young age and loved sewing clothes. As a teenager and during college she learned to hand quilt with her mom and grandma. Quilting classes and events were her favorite get-aways while she was raising her family. She has been quilting for 30 years and enjoys taking classes and learning new techniques. She loves finding fun and more efficient ways to make beautiful quilts. She is always looking for new patterns and ideas and loves sharing them in her classes. Marianne is from South Jordan, Utah and loves every part of the quilt-making process.
